COUGAR PRIDE LEADERSHIP AWARD

 In June 2013, we started a brand new tradition called our Cougar Pride Leadership Award.  Our staff met and decided upon two winners for each division.  This award is meant to capture, celebrate and cement our Character Education program in real life examples of student leadership.  The winners needed to be great examples of the following Cougar Pride Traits.  They need to be - Caring, Optimism, Unified (working together), Goal-setters, Accepting, Respectful, Proud, Responsible, Individualistic, Do his/her best, Enthusiastic.

Each month our Honourary Cougars are nominated by home room teachers for outstanding Cougar Pride. Names are published in our monthly newsletter and posted on our Cougar Pride board.    

Students are recognized for demonstrating Cougar Pride.  Staff members acknowledge students by awarding them with a Paw Point.  10 point winners are honoured at our monthly assemblies with a certificate and a Citizenship Winit Seal.
