General School Description

Located in a rural setting just west of the city of St. Thomas, Southwold School serves approximately 650 children in grades JK to Eight. All students are transported by school bus and our school hours are 9:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. A broad range of programs including academics, the arts and sports is supported by staff, students and parents. Our school has an active and supportive Parents Council Association. Conscientious teachers assist students using a broad range of instructional strategies. Special needs students are supported by two Learning Support Teachers and the efforts of the classroom teacher. Southwold School has been recognized as a school with a high degree of environmental awareness and activity. Our Green Grove highlights our environmental efforts and is a source of pride for the school and community.
